I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Chesapeake Energy

Thank you for taking this time to read my exciting news and to consider the needs of so many others. I know that everyone is watching their finances a little more closely these days to say the least, but I also know that the more people are in need, the more those around them tend to give. Times like these make us all thankful for everything we have. Right now I am so thankful for my health, my family and my friends. Over the last two years, I've seen some very special friends battling cancer. Some of these precious ones only a fraction of my age who have gone to be with Jesus, some who are still in the trenches of battle, and others who are celebrating survival. More recently, a very good friend and mentor of mine has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer (glioblastoma). All of these circumstances have opened my eyes much wider to the need around me. Here are these amazing people staring their mortality in the face with hope in their hearts and a smile in their eyes...I feel it is the least I can do to give up my hair with them. All of this to say...yes, I'm actually shaving my head! I am going to donate my hair to Locks of Love, and will join several co-workers and friends on April 13th to Shave the Way to Conquer Kids Cancer! So, please join me to support so many young heroes by donating in my name. Remember that every bit helps. Every $1 brings us closer to a cure. Thanks for all your consideration and generosity!!! I can't thank you enough! Sincerely, Delores
