I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Boulder Police Officers Association

PLEASE READ and take action! So I'm going to pull out my collection of old hats to wear and shave my head Weds after work on the 12th! I can't particpate on the 14th but want to raise money for this cause. Why you ask? 1) It is for one of many organizations that help children. 2) It is a celebration and reflection for me this year. Some of you know that I am a cancer surviver and this year I am celebrating 20 years of being cancer free! People say that having cancer changes the way you look at life and I agree completely. I had incredible support from my family and friends while I was going through this but what I recall most was meeting kids going through their treatments with smiles and a positive spirit and laughter! They are the ones that opened my eyes to how important everyday is. As I looked forward to the end of my 6 month treatment, some of these kids had 3 years of treatment they had to endure. Treatments have changed a lot in 20 years and it is because of organizations like St Baldricks that make it possible.
