I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. I love the idea of doing active service, especially if it’s helping something that I really and truly think needs my help like childhood cancer. I have already done Locks for Love but because I feel so strongly about the topic I decided I wanted to do more! The main reason I am shaving my head is because one of my best friends sisters died from cancer and my cousin is a childhood cancer survivor. I can’t believe that before I signed up to be a SHAVEE I did not even realize that there is a girl my age, 11, in my neighborhood, LaGrange Park, who is struggling with cancer. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. In conclusion I hope that I can raise as much money as possible for St. Baldricks!
