I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Albany Med

Dear Friends, I could cite many statistics about childhood cancer, but we all know that no set of numbers can fully express the impact that this disease has on patients, their families, and their friends. I have decided to be a shavee for the St. Baldrick's organization this year to show my support for children battling cancer and to help raise money for a cure. St. Baldricks is volunteer driven and raises funds for everything from clinical trials and new discoveries to supportive care research. This cause is near and dear to my heart, as cancer has become much more than a chapter in a textbook. I, like so many of you, have been witness to a family member bravely battling cancer, and know how life changing the disease can be to everyone involved. Please donate what you can to this cause, in the honor of all of these children who deserve our help. If you would like to shave your head in support as well, please find more information at http://www.stbaldricks.org/be-a-shavee Even if you are not able to donate, I would greatly appreciate it if you shared this page with your friends and family. Everyone is welcome to join me (and many others) as I shave my head on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00AM at Proctor’s Theatre, 432 State Street, Schenectady, NY
