I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures through the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Over the past 14 years that Hailey has been treated I have seen little change in the way childhood cancer is treated. I have seen far too many children pass away from their cancer. I know far to many children who have struggled to beat cancer only to be left with chronic health issues. They may have beaten cancer but now struggle to have a "normal" day - whether that's completing school work, keeping up with friends, or trying to not feel depressed because of what they've been through. Research is needed to find better cures that will not only eradicate their cancer but also leave them without lasting side effects. .
