I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Teachers

The strength of young cancer patients always amazes me. They never seem to let the horrible side effects of chemo, the restrictions from their pre-cancer lives, or even the threat of death consume them. Instead, they live in the moment, cherishing, and blessing, everything and everyone around them. All I know of my brother David, who died of Ewing sarcoma before I was born, is how lively, funny, and talented he was. From the stories I've heard, he brought joy to everyone he met, and he lived each moment to the absolute fullest. The way I see it, if he, and all these other children, can be so strong as they battle this deadly disease, then I can be strong enough to shave my head. Sure, I am terrified of looking weird and having people stare, but that fear is nothing compared to what cancer victims endure. It is nothing compared to the fear and pain the parents of these children face. It is nothing. So, I am doing this for David, for my parents, for my students, for my friends, for everyone who has ever been affected by the pain of cancer. So please, donate.
