I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: nekkid heads 4 kidz

Over a year ago, I commited myself to raise money for childhood cancer research AND show my support by shaving my head with a very dear friend of mine (Heather Edwards). In December, I said YES to an amazing wedding proposal and instantly imagined my wedding photos with short hair and I did not want that...so I decided to put it off until next year....I was driving into work and it hit me. Children with cancer do not get to choose when to lose their hair. They do not get to put it off until a more "perfect" time in their life. The choice to wait until after school pictures, prom, the cold of winter...so for me, changing my mind because I am now engaged and worried about what my wedding photos will look like is just not acceptable. I AM DOING THIS! I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
