I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Approximately 12 years ago I met a brave, beautiful little girl named Erin Browning (her parents were friends of my sisters). She was fighting childhood cancer and throughout her fight her faith and smile never wavered (not that I ever saw). In 2004 (shortly before she went to be with The Lord)Erin got to met the group Casting Crowns and they began writing a song in her honor. The songs title, "Praise You In This Storm". Erin never got to hear the song. Her fight ended shortly before it was released...She was only 10 years old. 5 years after Erin's passing I was in the waiting room at Devos Childrens hospital. I watched as children were wheeled by in their hospital beds. Some smiling, some looking scared, all of them without hair. I cried for them all and prayed. On March 30th I am shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! If doing this will give hope to or make a breakthrough for one child it will be more than worth it!! Every dollar counts, every dollar will help.
