Hello everyone! I am participating in the St Baldrick's Foundation for the 3rd year in a row and can't wait to shave these locks, in order to raise money for childhood cancer research! This year will be a little more personal than years past, as a dear friend to myself and many other firefighters lost her niece Abby to Brain Cancer last year. I saw the pain and suffering my friend went through last year and wanted to dedicate this year’s funds in her honor. I never had the pleasure to meet Abby, but I heard she was a beautiful little girl with a wonderful spirit and positive influence on life. Abby's story and many like hers, should make all of us appreciate what we have and help support the people that aren’t as fortunate. Even though I haven't personally dealt with these difficult and unimaginable times, I take this cause very serious and you should too! So I ask all of you to take a minute out of your busy day and make a donation from your heart, so many lives depend on it. Please do what you can to help support these wonderful people going through this difficult time.
Please forward this to your friends and family, we can use all the support! I also encourage all of you to come to the event at Palmer Place in downtown LaGrange, it's a wonderful event for all ages and you'll be able to watch all of us go bald for the cause! Even if times are tough and you aren't able to donate, please come and experience this special event first hand.
Thanks for your support,
Chuck
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers
