I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Remember Rocketman

On March 30th, I'll be shaving my head to help raise money for childhood cancer research, in memory of Hunter Atkinson. I met Hunter when he and I were both kids; our mothers were both involved in the world of raising and showing dogs, and were members of the local kennel club. I didn't know him for more than a few years before he found what he called the "Ultimate Cure" at the tender age of thirteen, but I will always remember his fun-loving and generous spirit, and I look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven. And I will never be able to look at a sparkler without thinking about the Rocketman.

Because of research, today about 85% of kids with the most common type of cancer will live. But for many other types - like Wilms tumor, which Hunter battled - little progress has been made. Will you join me in the fight, and help raise money to research for cures? Every dollar makes a difference.

You can read Hunter's story here.
