I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Tuesday

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Tuesday

My name is Marlie, and this is my first year shaving my hair for St. Baldricks. As some of you may know, my friend Tuesday Whitt was fighting neuroblastoma, a deadly and horrible type of cancer, like a little boxing pro, but sadly, she lost the fight. Tuesday died in 2009, when I was only 4 at the time. Since that was so long ago, I barely remember anything we did together, but I do remember that once we were at a bowling alley with our families. Tuesday took of her hat, showing me her bald, little head. Tuesday and I may have not known each other very long, but that doesn’t matter because she and I had bonded lots during those times.

Let me just say that for every dollar you donate to me, Tuesday’s brother, my brother, or others on our team, you are helping to extinct cancer. And we ALL want cancer to go away!

Thank you, and Go Team Tuesday! -Marlie
