I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Here's my story...
I was approached by a co-worker who has participated in this event a few times, and asked if I'd be willing to put my hair on the line to help raise money to fight childhood cancer. Of course, there is nothing sadder than a sick kid, so I decided to do a little research. I never knew that juvenile cancers are different from adult cancer. I also had no idea that since it is different, there was limited funding for research. To someone like myself who doesn't have children, but would like to some day sooner than later, this is a frightening thought. I couldn't imagine the horror of having a child diagnosed with cancer. So.... Hopefully with your help. Some day very soon. No one will ever have to hear that diagnosis ever again. And hopefully the kids who are currently under treatment will have a chance to grow up and have healthy normal lives.
