I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: AWAC Hair-WACkers

After having my daughter in 1988 I made a decision that there was too much hair to deal with in the house so one of us had to get rid of some. I decided that I would make the sacrifice; I started out slowly and then one day went to the hairdressers and told them to take it all off. Since then I have gone through a variety of lengths so it is really not that difficult for me to make this decision. The main and most important reason that I decided to do this is to try and assist as much as I can with helping the children who are the focus of this venture. There is someone very special in my life who has been living with cancer for some time now and this has made me more aware of cancer and the effects of it on the individuals and also their families.
