I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Cowabunga!

How much would you pay to see me shave my head for childhood cancer? My friend Katie asked me three years ago, just after a heart surgery to join her team.... My hair just back 3 inches from my chemo and surgery, I of course said "YES!" The day of the event, watching the children and families effected by this, knowing the impact, thinking of my own children, I was in tears, awe of the beautiful support, love, generosity that surrounded me. We had to give a short synopsis of why we were shaving our heads to be read to everyone just before the deed. I never had a problem losing my hair, I actually found it freeing. When it first came out I had the kids shave it off...we laughed....but this time was different....it was for children going through the amazing, terrifying, painful journey I just endured. Every ounce of my being shook as they started to shave, tears ran down my face a I looked at these children and families....then, right then, I had a gratitude I had never experienced, for myself, and for these families receiving the support and love they needed by this amazing foundation. Please join me how every you can....spread the word, donate, come join us at the event. With gratitude, Jen
