For the 6th year in a row, I am answering the call to be a hero! My nephew Nick (3rd year) and I will be having our heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Our team name this year is Ultimate Shavers.
Last year we were on a team called Pirates Pillaging for a Cure which raised close to $15,000 for important research. That team was captained by Shawn Nolan whom I met through Kyle’s T-Ball. His son Patrick is one of the kids we are honoring. Due to schedules, Nick and I are shaving at a different event than the Pirates, which is the only reason for a different team name this year.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. I will match your donation (up to $2,000). This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!

Event Details
I want to get more people to attend this year. In the past everyone has fun and I believe everyone who came once has showed up again. The event is taking place on St. Patrick’s Eve (March 16th) at Ballydoyle - Irish Pub & Restaurant in downtown Aurora (28 W. New York Street). It is a fun event with several kid activities planned along with face paintings, raffles, and silent auctions (be careful the R2D2 cooler can get expensive fast). The event goes from 12 to 5. I will update everyone when I know what time we are shaving our heads.
