I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Well its that time of year again. Spring will soon be in the air and hair will soon be on the floor. MY hair. And the hair of many other wonderful people who, like me, are working toward the end of childhood cancer. This will be my fifth shave for this cause. Each year I hope that its my last. I've been blessed with two very healthy children. Many of my family and friends have also been so blessed. But not every family. Not yet. I can't imagine hearing the words "Your child has cancer." I hope one day that those words will be right next to electric typewriters and rotary phones in the discard pile of our world. But that day is not here yet. And that's why I'm getting shaved. I'm losing my hair so that there will be a day when children don't lose their hair. I'm giving a little so that there will be a day when ALL children can enjoy childhood a lot. OK, here comes the pitch. I can shave my head every day, but we can't beat cancer without YOU. Research is very expensive. I'd like to ask you now to click on the donation link and give what you can. Join us in defeating this life altering disease. Give because you're thankful of your children's health. Give to honor a loved one who has cancer. Give just to show your solidarity with families dealing with this disease. Heck, you can even give just because you like the thought of me going into my classroom bald and my students laughing their butts off. So make a donation. And come out and cheer me on when I get shaved. Come out and meet the wonderful people I've met over the years of being a shavee. Come out and have a good time while we kick cancer's butt
