I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: LAFD Fire Station 89

I will have my head shaved, to help raise money for childhood cancer research!

Cancer remains the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. More than 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Well, I want to help change that, and help the children of the world overcome cancer and enjoy many years with their parents, siblings, and friends!

My family and I know what it is like to deal with cancer. My brother is on the road-to-recovery, after dealing with mydeoplastia syndrome, for which we are thankful. However, both my parents lost their only sisters to lung cancer, something no family should ever have to endure.

Children fighting cancer lose not only their hair but precious years from their childhood, and often their lives. Compared to a child’s struggle, having my head shaved is a small sacrifice, and your gift can help save lives.

Please remember the words spoken by the mom of a young cancer patient: “Your support of research not only means the world to our family, but it means a life to us."
Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. My other pledge: IF I meet or exceed my fundraising goal, I will stay "Bald Through Easter" (April 20th), remaining hairless for the remainder of Lent.
