This is my second year doing the St. Baldrick's Foundation event Rowan University. Last year, some of my friends joked that because of my family history, I'm going to be bald before too long anyway, so I should have keep my hair as long as I can. Which is probably true-- but thousands of children each year can't even begin to worry about keeping their hair because they're busy fighting for their lives. Shaving my head is the least I can do to show my support for the innocent children who aren't fortunate enough to be in their 20s before they start worrying about losing their hair.
So, I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
