I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Once again this year I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment and I’m asking for your support. Over the last four years, because of your generosity, we have been able to raise $6,950 for childhood cancer research, and with your help we will add to that total again this year. As a dad that has been blessed with two great kids, I can't think of anything more worthwhile. The past three years, I’ve dyed my hair a color of your choosing the week before the big shave. Three years ago it was Guilford College Crimson, two years ago it was bright pink and last year it was green. I’m going to do it again this year. What color will it be? That is all up to you. Each dollar you donate gets you a vote for the color of your choice. To add to the fun, this year I’ve also grown a beard to have some fun with. Should I shave it off? Keep it? Dye it? Cut your Mom’s initials into it? Just like the hair, every dollar you donate gets you a vote on the fate of the beard as well. Come on down to Glenwood South in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, March 1st and have a pint (and a laugh) while you watch me get my head shaved. Jen, Avery, Zachary and I would love to see you there. And thank you so very much for your support and your efforts to help defeat childhood cancer once and for all.
