Many of you may have been wondering why my hair is rather unseemly,... it's not a mid life crisis nor a yearning for my college days back in the early 70's... I admit that my look has become somewhat wild and wooly, but it's all for a very worthy cause! I have purposely avoided the barbershop pending a very special event....
I have elected to forgo my hair to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and more importantly, to show solidarity with children who suffer from this disease that touches so many of us. I will be doing this through collaboration with the St Baldricks Foundation who is the second largest funder of research grants, second only to that of the Government of the United States of America.
On March 13, 2014, I will be shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
