I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In 2007 my son Jared was just 13 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After 5 months of chemo and radiation he was declared cancer free and we went back to our "normal" lives. In 2010 I heard about a group of women set to shave their heads for their kids who had battled cancer with The St. Baldrick's Foundation. When I found out they would be shaving here in Southern CA I joined the 46 Mommas on my 46th birthday. I have been working to coordinate our shave events for the past 4 years and nothing gives my son's cancer journey more meaning then helping to raise money to fund a cure. This year Jared will celebrate 6 years cancer free and I will be turning 50. Whether I shave or not my dedication to the cause will not waver. I am in this for the long haul, for my child and for yours. Won't you join me and we can make a difference together!!Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
