I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Twin

Hello, I am Hannah Sage Sloan, I am 16 years old, & I am donating my hair to St. Baldrick's children cancer foundation. I decided to donate my hair for a number of reasons. I've had some experiences with cancer in family & friends, & I've always had a soft spot for those with cancer or who have undergone and/or survived cancer. My great grandfather passed away of colon cancer, but also experienced skin cancer all his life. My family is Irish, so we are all prone to skin cancer. My grandmother on my father's side experienced & SURVIVED breast cancer. One of my very good friends' fathers died from brain cancer. My family friend has a 3 old daughter who has been battling a rare type of brain cancer all her life & will most likely not survive. There are many other cancer stories I could share with you, but I just it to be known I'm doing this for all of the cancer patients. Of course I'm doing this for children's cancer, but not just children's cancer. I'm doing this for everyone. In honor of every awful experience that cancer had brought to my loved ones, & in honor of all of those in the future. I cannot express my compassion towards the subject of cancer in words, but maybe me shaving my head will share a tiny fraction of it. & I'm doing this with my best friend in the whole entire world, making this so much more special & personal, & that much more of an unforgettable & important life experience. Thank you.
