Despite an incredibly brave fight, cancer was too much for “Superman Sam,” a child of colleagues Rabbis Phyllis and Michael Sommer. (Check out Sam's family's story at http://supermansamuel.blogspot.com/) You can help me join in the fight against childhood cancers in Sam's memory with this fundraiser from St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
I am one of 36 rabbis who will “Shave for the Brave” in March. Yes, I am having my head shaved in memory of Sam, and to stand in solidarity with his mom, dad, and siblings, and everyone else who is battling cancer.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
