I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Many of you already know the story of Sam Sommer, the son of my dear friends Rabbis Phyllis Sommer and Michael Sommer. (If you're not yet familiar with his story, you can read about it here: http://supermansamuel.blogspot.com ). Sadly, Sam passed away on Saturday, December 14. On April 1, 2014, I joined with more than 50 rabbinic colleagues in shaving my head in memory of Sam and in solidarity with other pediatric cancer patients, and, more importantly, to raise money for cancer research. Though the shave is over, our fundraising efforts continue. Who knows whether it will be the thousandth dollar, the millionth dollar, or the billionth dollar that will provide the impetus toward discovering a cure? I hope that you will join me in this effort. Having met and surpassed a number of goals already, I am setting my current fundraising goal at $7200; I am hoping we can once again meet, or even exceed this goal. Please visit my site to donate and/or learn more.
