"Superman Sam" was a true hero. Through his struggle he has given a chance for recovery and life to other children yet to even enter this challenge of cancer and hopefully reduce the number of children who will have to endure the challenge of this terrible disease in all its forms.
I only met Sam once, when he was about 2 years old, but I have been friends with his Mother since we were 8 and spent much time at his parents home in Cincinnati when we were together at HUC-JIR. For the pain they have experienced, and to try to prevent that pain for others is why I am shaving my head.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
