I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: PICU- Breaking Bald

As a PICU nurse I have been so blessed, to take care of and get to know an amazing young woman. This very special young woman had her world turned upside down this past summer when she was diagnosed with cancer. The strength and positive outlook from her and her family is incredible but it is her strength and resilience that truly touched me. She has inspired me to take another step, to give back on another level above and beyond caring for her while she is in my care at the hospital. How could I do this? What options do I have to help? How could I help her and maybe even help others in the same situation? The answer? St. Baldrick''s! St. Baldricks is an amazing organization dedicated to childhood cancer research. In the United States 1 in 5 children diagnosed will not survive. So, how am I going to do my part to help raise money for this cause? Are you sitting down? If not you better… I’m going to shave my head. Say what, you ask? Yes, you read that right I’M SHAVING MY HEAD!!!! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true; and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Now I need your help! Will you please help me help the kids by making a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you so much for your generosity. Make sure you check back to this site after March 8th to see me without hair. I'm sure we will all get a good laugh. Much Love, Lynnette
