I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 2014 Texas 4000 for Cancer

Hi friends and family, This April, I will be shaving my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and to raise money for childhood cancer research! Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. In the U.S. alone, almost 13,000 children under the age of 21 are diagnosed with cancer every year; approximately 1/4 of them will not survive the disease. Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the United States. Let's do something to change these numbers. This spring, I have the privilege of joining a group of students who will be raising money for research and family support services through UT-S.M.I.L.E.'s Brave The Shave event, with all proceeds benefiting the St. Baldrick's Foundation! My goal is to raise A MINIMUM of $50 for pediatric cancer research, but I need your help to blow that out of the water. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I ride and shave to remember young lives taken too soon, to stand with the families facing childhood cancer today, and rededicate ourselves always to combating this terrible illness. Thanks for reading! Bald is beautiful, Amy
