Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. In the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease, including AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined.
To help kids fighting cancer, I'm a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. While I won't be shaving my head, I am volunteering at a St. Baldrick's Foundation event on September 28th at Haven GastroPub in Pasadena.
