I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team AYA

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team AYA

3 reasons I’m shaving my head on June 8th 1. St. Baldrick’s Foundation raises money for childhood cancer research. Infants, children, teens and young adults (we’re talking up to 39, here) are affected by childhood cancers. I’m shaving my head to raise money for research into these cancers. 2. Every day I have the incredible privilege to work with some of the coolest people on the planet. A significant number of which, lose their hair during their cancer treatment. It’s hard to let go of vanity but that’s nothing compared to battling cancer. I’m shaving my head for them. 3. Almost exactly two years ago, Sarcoma (a childhood cancer) stole one of the most amazing, bright, loving, funny, selfless people I’ve ever had the pleasure and absolute honor of knowing. I think of him often and I have it on good authority that I would have been the recipient of some fabulous hats if he were here today. I’m shaving my head in honor of him and because he rocked the bald look, so can I (I hope). Join me in the shave, or help me raise money for this fantastic cause by donating to my page. Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
