I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Shannon's Hope 2013

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Shannon's Hope 2013

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. I am Shaving my head at the St. Baldrick's event in Portland, OR June 8, 2013 in honor of Shannon Strickland. Shannon is the 16 year old daughter of a coworker in Oregon. She is in her 3rd year of battling cancer. Today, she is doing well – last scans showed “no visible sign of disease” – and she is challenging to walk on her own again by June. Still – Shannon’s victories are only a small part of the picture that makes up children’s cancer. I am blessed in having 2 healthy 13 year old boys but not all parents and children are as fortunate. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Please donate under my name and support me in shaving my head at this event.
