I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Green Drakkoman's Team

You may or may not have seen on Facebook or have heard me talk about donating my hair and raising money at the same time. Well the time is nigh! I have been infamous for keeping my hair is up, whether it be in a ponytail or more frequently in a bun; hidden in my up-do is over 14” of hair. This year I have joined Frank Nemeth, whom most of you know, to raise money for St. Baldrick’s. St. Baldrick's is an organization known for shaving people’s heads in exchange for money that is used to fund R&D to cure childhood cancer. Not-so fun fact from the St. Baldrick’s website, “All types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of US federal funding for cancer research”. I have agreed to raise money for St. Baldrick’s and also donate my hair to Locks of Love, another organization aimed at helping children. Locks of Love provides hair pieces to children (21 and younger) suffering from any type of long-term medical hair loss. For every $100 I raise I will donate 1” of hair; my goal is $1200 and 12” of hair! Can you help St. Baldrick’s and Locks of Love and all the children they want to help? If my plea has piqued your interest you can donate on my page by clicking here. And if you want to see me cry like a baby when my hair gets chopped off...you can! I will be at Stout in Albany’s warehouse district this Saturday. Frank is getting shaved at 2pm, and I hope to be right behind him! Unfortunately, no I am not shaving my head. I am not ready to make that commitment, maybe next year? Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks for your support!
