Four months ago my friend Briana posted on Facebook that she would be shaving her head for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and was encouraging friends to participate with her. I had never heard of this organization, but I looked into it and thought it was something I might want to do, but I took too long to take the plunge and she went ahead and shaved her head on her own. Ever since that first post I saw this great organization has been in the back of my mind, intermittently sneaking its way to the forefront and slowly, but surely, convincing me that I most definitely wanted to get involved in this movement.
I am so excited to be part of this and to meet other people from my area who have answered the call to support this great organization. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
