I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Portland Timbers

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Portland Timbers

As some of you know, I play for the Portland Timbers. Unfortunately, I had knee surgery at the end of January and will not return to play for six months. I wanted to do something productive with my newly found free time so I volunteered as the head shaving team captain for the Timbers. I am reaching out to as many organizations and people in the area as possible whether it be Eastside Timbers Soccer Club or one of my Twitter followers. There are a few fun incentives to donate other than the obvious one of contributing to childhood cancer research. First, I'll be giving an authentic Timbers jersey signed by the entire team to the individual who makes the largest single donation. There will also be a raffle for ALL contributors (amount is irrelevant) to win a ball signed by the team. Just make sure when you donate, NOT to do so anonymously. My current goal is to raise $3000 for this great cause. As a last fun incentive, I plan to dye my hair Timbers green for the final week before the shaving event if this goal is met. I've started by making a small initial contribution to get things going and hope you'll do the same! Thanks so much! -Brent
