Please consider giving to St. Baldrick's in support of finding a cure for childhood cancer. I know firsthand the effects of childhood cancer. So you ask, "Why am I shaving my head?"
It's symbolic of the struggles and trials throughout this past year.
It's because no child should have to experience uncontrollable trembling in his/her hands from the drugs side effects.
because no parent should have to change their dreams for their child from I hope he/she becomes a dr., lawyer, firefighter or police officer to I hope my child lives.
because no family should be overwhelmed by the cost of treatment.
because no child should have to fear going to church or school because of a weekend immune system.
Last year my 10 year old daughter (Abby) was diagnosed with a rare type of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I'm answering the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids like Abby fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support all these very special kids. Thank you!
