I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm no hero...but those that face this terrible disease everyday, most certainly are! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise awareness and money to find a cure. My nephew, Nicholas Maka Ekau, was taken from us in 2001 at the age of 12 after suffering with cancer of the spine for over 4 years! In his memory and for my healthy 11 and 13 year old daughters, I pledge to do this simple act. Please support those who live with disease by a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
