I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

It doesn't take much to be a hero. Maybe it's giving up your seat on the bus. Maybe it's returning somebody's wallet you've found on the sidewalk. Maybe it's holding the door open for someone with their arms full. Maybe it's shaving your head to help save kids with cancer. Cancer affects us all in some way or another. You might know somebody who's fought it and won, or you might know somebody who's fought it and lost. This is a way to show the world that people with cancer--kids with cancer--don't have to fight it alone. We can stand up and fight it together. When I mention to somebody that I'm shaving my head for St. Baldrick's, I tend to get the same reaction every time: "Wow, you're shaving your head?! That's so brave!" But I don't think of it as brave; if anything, it's the easiest thing I can do. Hair grows back. Kids don't.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
