I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Julie

As some of you know I am the coach of a girls youth softball team, The Rock '99. It's a group of 13yr old travel ball girls that are committed to community, teamwork and softball excellence. On February 6th, our team received some horrible news. Our second baseman, Julie was diagnosed with leukemia. She was immediately brought to Arnold Palmer to begin treatment. Her prognosis is good, but her treatment includes aggressive chemotherapy. This story gets a bit more personal for me. This 13 yr old girl is NOT just my second baseman! She is the daughter of a long time family friend. My wife has been friends with Julie's mother, Laura since 3rd grade. We were there at the hospital when Julie was born and out daughters have been best friends from the time they could talk. As you can imagine, this news hit us all very hard. Julie is a tough little lady and will fight but she can't do it alone. So, I'm reaching out to all of you to ask for your help. I'm raising money for St. Baldricks Foundation to help fight childhood cancer. Please go to my page http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/611195/2013 and donate in honor of Team Julie. All dontations are tax deductable. My goal is to raise $500 but any amount will do. On March 16th, St. Baldricks will be doing a shave-a-thon at The Avenues Mall in Viera at 1pm. I am going to participate in this event and shave my head bald, in honor of Julie and the many other children fighting cancer. They can't fight this battle for themselves, so please join us to watch this event, or sign up on my site to shave your head, volunteer or donate. Thank you in advance for any contributions that you are able to make. Please keep Julie and her family in your prayers. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
