I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Jake's Crew

Hi all! I'm Claire. A few things about me: 1. I run track! 2. I'm a senior at Lindbergh (Go Flyers)! 3. I'm shaving my head to support the research of childhood cancer! 4. My hair will be worn by a kid who needs it! (Hopefully someone who wants long hair, thick, unruly, neither-brown-nor-blonde hair) It started when I told my sister Ellen that I'd shave my head if she raised $2000 for St. Baldrick's. She's shaving her head, too, but her goal was only $1000. Motivation, people! Even though she hasn't met her goal yet, I'm pretty confident she will! My luscious locks will go on to become a wig for a child who needs it. Two of my elementary school teachers have had children pass away from childhood cancer, Lexie Tullman and Jake Franzel. They were the children of my fourth grade teacher and music teacher, respectively. Compared to my hair, childhood cancer is a pretty big deal. That's why I want to shave it; hair grows back, but some of these kids will never get to enjoy a normal life without cancer. Kinda puts things in perspective. Ellen and I have a collective goal of $2000. Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated! LET'S DO THIS PEOPLE
