I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Minyard

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. My Story: In the late 80s, my grandmother passed away from ovarian cancer. In the early 90s, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. In 2005, my father at the age of 64 passed away from lung cancer, a cancer that materialized from 0% to 80% Stage 3 within 6 months of being healthy (and after having a physical that showed nothing 6 months earlier). My brother and I had to help our father over the course of 2 weeks on oxygen, moving from an awake and cognizant stage to a coma stage that came quickly. At the age of 31, I had open heart surgery, a brain stroke 3 months following and I have been through multiple bouts of depression but... most recently, I have had my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer, something that completely caught me off guard, and while statistics show most thyroid patients are female, it can happen to any of us. It does not discriminate. Everywhere we look, cancer has taken loved ones, friends and has affected all of us in some way, but it can't stop us from fighting AND WE WILL WIN! As adults, we have lived a majority of our life journey but kids SHOULD NOT have to face and endure this struggle and pain. We MUST find a cure... We WILL find a cure! Please support this outstanding cause with a small donation. They are our kids... They are our grand-kids and they are our Future. God Bless. Please give generously and keep our kids in your prayers. Thank you.
