As the mother of a type 1 diabetic I understand the insidious nature of disease yet recognize the vast difference between diabetes and cancer. The kids that face these battles with such grace and perseverance are heroic role models for us all.
As a way to stand in solidarity with these amazing kiddos I’m having my head shaved on March 30th, but more importantly, to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. I am asking everyone I know to donate just $10 (or more if you feel inspired!)
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these beautiful kids. I have chosen to honor three local Berkeley kids, all in very different stages, who have been effected by this disease. Thank you for your help in supporting this wonderful cause!
