Hello, My cancer story is very personal, since I lost my Mom to cancer last June. Her final moments were spent with three weeks in a hospice surrounded with caring people but a lot of fear and pain. She knew that she would pass away soon, even though we kept things very optimistic, until the pain got to be too much and she needed to be sedated. Imagine knowing that you're going to die? Imagine begging the doctors to do what they could to ease your Mother's pain? She was 76 years young... She was a proud grandmother who lived for her grandchildren. She tried to do all she could to keep us safe, we did what we could for her in her final hours. Her passing will always leave an empty void in our hearts. I hope that a child or their family never have to experience this fear and pain. To help kids fighting cancer, I'm a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please support me! Date: Thursday, March 7 Event Time: 4 PM – 8 PM Location: Latin Quarter (LQ New York) 511 Lexington Ave (Between 47th and 48th) New York City Family members, friends, customers, and partners of NetApp are all encouraged and welcome to attend. Space is limited and fills up surprisingly fast, so please RSVP, http://www.netapp.com/us/forms/stbaldricksnyc-20130307.aspx?REF_SOURCE, if you are planning to attend. Food will be provided, along with lots of fun prizes! A donation of $20 is appreciated at the door. **An appearance is rumored by a Notre Dame football star and NFL player! With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. If you can't attend the 3/7/13 event, click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you! Regards, Alex
