I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Aflac Cancer Center

Why am I shaving my head? Well, not only is it a tremendous cause, but my sister, Dawn, has been a pediatric oncology nurse for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta since 1995. I have attended this event before and I was overwhelmed with the people who volunteer to get their heads shaved. Even women! Yes women!! This will be my second year participating. My sister has been involved with numerous benefits and activities, like St. Baldricks, to not only give care for these special children, but to raise funds for cancer research. Also, my mother, Betty, is a Breast Cancer Survivor. So I have personally been affected by Cancer and I am sure you have had a loved one or just know someone who has been affected in some way. So I am asking you to open your heart and your wallets to help me, as well as many others, fight this terrible disease. Last year, my goal was $2,500. I beat that goal and raised $2,900. This year, since I got so close to $3,000, I thought it would be great to reach that amount and maybe even pass it. So, please do what you can to help me help these terrific kids.
