Hello and thank you for visiting our fundraising page. As a teacher at Wissahickon Middle School, my classes will be working to raise money to help fight childhood cancer. My student teacher, Pat Reilly, and I will be having our heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
In order to get our students more involved in the fundraising process, we are offering up an interesting raffle in class. If we raise over $1,000, one of our students will be chosen to give us a crazy haircut the day before the St. Baldrick’s shaving event. We will then keep our new crazy haircut for all of our classes until we shave it at the St. Baldrick’s event the following day.
The kids are already planning our new hair styles. Mohawks, old man bald spots, and bowl cuts are all being discussed. If, and only if, we reach $1000, one student will be picked to design our new haircut.
But this is all just to get the kids excited. Please donate, because your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I’m really asking you to support these kids. THANK YOU!
