I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Guy Carpenter

You've probably been too polite to comment on the fact that I may be in need of a haircut (which is quite the achievement for some!), so in case you've been wondering, I've decided this is the year I'm going to take the St. Baldricks' plunge! My decision to pass on Movember participation this past year was made exclusively so I could focus all my energy on Frobruary, and since I'm a good sport, the hair growing efforts will continue an extra couple weeks for St. Baldrick's. I was never quite sure why my colleagues calls me the "ChiaMok", but decided the best way to find out is to hunt down an actual Chia Pet to test his theory: that I can naturally outgrow that small yet powerful porcelain animal without the use of that magical green seed paste (i.e. "performance enhancing materials", if you will).

Hopefully you can dig deep for this great cause and give anything you can. Any amount helps, and at the very least, you'll get some memorable entertainment value out of it.

Why am I having my head shaved? To stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.
