I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: APO

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: APO

In December of 2011, my childhood best friend, Caitlin Bronk, was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer. As with many cancer patients, she had her good and her bad days. When her bad days hit, I felt helpless and scared. All I could do was give her my emotional support.

Through it all, Caitlin kept her boxing gloves on -- she was NOT going to let cancer knock her down. Today, we are proud to say that Caitlin is cancer free. Her immense courage and strength are what inspired me to participate in the St. Baldrick's fundraiser for kid's cancer research. The act of shaving my head will be in honor of her struggle with cancer.

I thank God for giving me a second chance to show my best friend how much I care. The money that I raise will go towards kids with cancer so that they too can have a chance to share special moments with loved ones.

Thank you.
