I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: North Plainfield Professional Firefighters

Dear Friends, It is Shave-a-Thon time again. This is our 10th year in North Plainfield shaving our heads to raise money for research to cure childhood cancer. With all our time, efforts, and donations we have raised over $500,000.00. This year our goal is set at $100,000.00. Ten years ago our event in North Plainfield was the only event in our area. The word has spread far about this great cause. About 8 years ago, our daughter Madeline brought this fundraiser to her school. Some teachers formed a team and joined the Firefighters in North Plainfield to shave their heads. Around the same time, Anne brought the idea to school in South Plainfield, and they have raised over $5000.00 at our event. There is now an event in our hometown of Bridgewater that is growing rapidly. They quickly put themselves on the St Baldrick’s map. I know now more than ever it is harder to dig deep into your pockets to give. It is even hard to choose which event or which shavee to support. I just hope you can support one of the many people you know who is shaving for the cure. If you would like to support me or our son Jeremy, you will find the links below to do so. Please come and join us at North Plainfield Fire Headquarters on March 23, 2013 for the 10th Annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-a-Thon. Thank you, Jeff Jeff
