I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bearded Ladies - Morrisville

I wanted to be more involved with St. Baldrick's for several years now, but each year there was some reason to simply donate what I could and pretend like that was enough. I am a student as well as a waitress, and my small contribution never felt significant. The cause was surely worthy, and the few women I saw around Raleigh each spring with bald heads, proudly sporting St. Baldrick's shirts and buttons, appeared strong and beautiful to me. I became more and more inspired. This spring, I found out that my very own place of work, Ruckus Morrisville, was having an event on a Saturday- a day that I was definitely working- and I knew that this year I could do more. I began to reach out to my customers.

I found out that nearly all of the kitchen staff were signed up to shave their heads and beards.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
