This March I will be shaving my head again for St. Baldrick’s. Although this is Childhood Cancer research fundraiser, and I am still shaving in memory of Matt and in honor of MacKenzie, this year I’m also shaving for some adults.
Christina’s Uncle Bill was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in February and lost this battle in July so I will be shaving in memory of Uncle Bill.
Christina’s Aunt Diane was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in February as well. She is doing a great job kicking Cancer’s butt.
Christina’s mom, LaDonna, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November. After two solid months of radiation, it appears that she has won. The don’t say cancer free this early but things are looking great.
My dad was diagnosed with esophagus, stomach and liver cancer in November. He has been doing a lot of chemo and it looks like all the cancer in all these areas is getting smaller. Just this week we found out that he also has a tumor in his head. He is going to begin new treatments for this today.
With all that begin said, any amount that you feel like donating will help find a cure for this nasty disease. It is effecting too many people, young and old.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
