I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Have you heard? I'm shaving my head! The reason I'm doing this is two-fold. I'm doing it to show solidarity with kids who are fighting cancer. I'm also doing it to raise money for children's cancer research so that hopefully, one day, no one will have to show their solidarity this way. I'm asking you to give your money to help!

I've done lots of stuff in my years. I've moved cross country to an unknown city. Twice. I've ridden my bicycle 100 miles in a day. I've ridden it across the state of Iowa in a week. I play a contact sport while wearing wheels on my feet (roller derby in case you were wondering). I've had pink hair for 10 years, dreadlocks for 9 months, and now I'm shaving my head completely. I'm no shy violet is what I'm trying to say. Now I'm asking you to throw down your hard earned dollars to show your support for this head-shaving adventure. Don't do it for me shaving my head, that's not that brave. Do it for the kids and families who have to deal with the difficulties and heartbreak of cancer. THAT is bravery.

Oh, you want the regular spiel, eh? Here it is: I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. I know I know, money's tight. But maybe make your own coffee for a few days instead of going to the coffee shop? Thank you!
