I am lucky. I am a healhty kid. One reason I am healthy is I had a great pedistircian. Dr. Stephen was the best docotr any kid could ask. He took the time to really talk to kids and found out more about them, not just the reason they were at his office. He would talkto me about baseball, fishing, card games and school. I knew he cared about me and every kid he saw. Four and half years ago, Dr. Stephen found out he had a brain tumor. He came back to the office after treatment with a bald head and said he felt he beat it. Unfortunately late this past summer, he died from cancer. He will definately be missed. I am shaving this year as I have in his honor, but this year it will have an extra special meaning.
I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
